Newly-weds die of snake bite

VEHARI, July 30: A newly-wed couple died of snake bite in Burewala on Tuesday.

Amir Muhammad and his wife Sughran were on their way back home when a snake bit them in the fields in Wagah basti near Sutluj river.

The couple died within minutes.

INAUGURATES: District Nazim Mumtaz Khan Khichi on Tuesday inaugurated the renovated district council hall here on Tuesday noon.

A number of district council members and other officials were also present on the occasion.

An official told Dawn that about Rs3 million had been spent on the renovation of the hall.
