Ravi on goal rampage

Published July 30, 2002

ISLAMABAD, July 29: Ravi were simply awesome as they routed Quaid-e-Azam Club 6-2 Monday in the Independence Day Soccer Tournament to qualify for the quarterfinals from Group C.

The Ravians were two goals ahead inside the first 25 minutes with strikes from Adnan and Asif Qureshi.

However the Quaidians bounced back, not just pulling a goal back through Zeeshan but also equalising on the 48th minute when Khurrum Nazir put one in.

Ravi then opened the floodgates and scored four more to seal the fate of the poor Quaidians. Raja Usman, Ishaq Qureshi and Zulfiqar, who netted twice, were the goal-getters.
