KARACHI, July 26: A excellent unbeaten 77 Asadullah Sumairy and equaly fine batting by Rizwan Khan (55) helped Zone VI Whites to dethrone the defending champion Zone II Whites by 22 runs and qualified for the final of KCCA Interzonal U-17 cricket tournament played at the KCCA Stadium on Friday.
The Second seminfinal is schedule for Saturday between Zone V White and Zone III at the same venue.
Batting first zone VI whites scored 216 runs in 50 overs for the loss of four wickets.
In reply Zone II whites managed to score 194 in 48 overs.
S.M Raheel (45), Muhammad Faheem (38), Azhar Iqbal (30) and Ibrahim Akhter (27) batted well but could not save their team from a defeat.
Waqas Haroon grabbed three wickets for 22 runs while Azhar Shah took two wickets for 60.
