Brilliant centuries by Adeel, Ibrahim

RAWALPINDI, July 25: Adeel of Friends Club smashed a fine 107 Thursday to guide his side to a massive 251-run win over City in the ongoing Rawalpindi Cricket Association Summer League.

The young Adeel was give adequate support my Azam who cracked 68 as Friends, batting first, piled up an impressive 339 for eight wickets. Qasim claimed two wickets but proved expensive in conceding 82 runs.

When City batted, they soon found themselves against the wall as Irfan bowled to a teasing line and length taking four wickets for 37 while Mushtaq snapped up two for 24. Their heroics with the ball meant that City were dismissed for just 88, handing Friends a runaway victory.

Rainbow bt Potohar by nine wkts. Potohar 92 all out (Ehtesham 4-21, Asif 2-7, Rainbow 93 for one (Tariq 43 no, Tahir 50 no).

WICC bt Ch. Sports by three runs. WICC 215 for six (Malik Bashir 131, Mubashir 5-44), Ch. Sports 212 all out (Kamran 37, Samiullah 5-40).

Muslim bt Abbasi by 77 runs. Muslim 287 for seven (Ibrahim 104, Umer 54, Waseem 2-48); Abbasi 210 all out (Zahid 69 no, Waqas 4-41).
