Young girl killed over old enmity

PESHAWAR, July 25: A young girl was killed over an old enmity in the limits of Badhber Police Station here on Thursday morning.

Mohammad Iqbal, son of Sarbuland Khan, lodged an FIR that Atta-ur-Rehman with seven accomplices entered his house at the Omarkhel locality and opened indiscriminate fire, which killed his daughter Rahila on the spot.

The accused remains at large.

HELD: City police arrested a Karachiite on Thursday from the cantonment area on charge of having fake currency notes.

Sources said Behzad, son of Mohammad Yousaf, a resident of Dastagir Colony, Karachi, had got off from a passenger bus coming from Bara. When the Saddar Police searched him on suspicion, they found 14 fake currency notes of Rs500 on him.

Tatara police has also arrested Amanullah, son of Muhammad Yousaf, for possessing fake rupee notes.

Both the accused were handed over to the CIA.
