Reds, Blues triumph

LAHORE, July 23: North Zone Reds and East Zone Blues won their  respective  matches  in  the  LCCA  Under-19  invitational cricket tournament at different grounds Tuesday.

An unbeaten 67 by opener Hafiz Asim Zakir enabled North Zone Reds  to beat West Zone Reds by 8 wickets.

SUMMARISED SCORES:

WEST  ZONE REDS: 119 for all in 34.2 overs (Asif  Ali  Rehman 32,  Khawaja  Fareed 24; Mohammad Arif 3/13, Sumeer  Akram  2/16, Sajjad Saeed 2/25).

NORTH  ZONE REDS: 122 for two in 23.1 overs (Hafiz Asim  Zakir 67, Mohammad Irfan 27).

Fahadul Haq (43) and Asif Ejaz (40) helped East Zone Blues  to defeat North Zone Greens by 35 runs.

SUMMARISED SCORES:

EAST  ZONE BLUES: 204 for all in 39.4 overs (Fahadul  Haq  43, Asif  Ejaz  40,  Asim Ejaz 23; Muaaz Jaffar  3/34,  Imran  Sohail 2/40).

NORTH  ZONE  GREENS: 170 for 8 in 40 overs (Kashif  Butt  42, Imran Malik 38; Asif Ejaz 2/22, Usman Malik 2/25).
