Raise in power tariff flayed

GUJRAT, July 20: The latest raise in power tariff by Nepra had disappointed the local industrialists, Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Haji Muhammad Ilyas said on Saturday.

The GCCI head said electricity rates in Pakistan were already one of the highest in the world. He said the latest raise in tariff would affect export of fan and furniture.

He has demanded that this increase should be withdrawn to save the consumers from financial hardships.
