SNF meeting

KHAIRPUR, July 19: A meeting of the central executive committee of Sindh National Front (NSF) set up a committee to go through the rules and regulations, prescribed by the election commission, for the political parties eligible to take part in the upcoming general elections.

The meeting was presided over by the acting chairman of the Front, Allah Warayo Soomro.

The meeting fixed Aug 5 as the last date for the submission of applications for party tickets.

It discussed the issues confronting Sindh and expressed concerned over the law and order situation. It urged the government to shelve the Thal canal project.—Correspondent
