TI wants Asghar party patron

LAHORE, July 14: The Tehrik-i-Istaqlal has decided to formally request Air Marshal Asghar Khan to become patron of the party.

A meeting of central office-bearers held here on Saturday with party president Rehmat Khan Vardag in the chair resolved that a delegation led by TI ex-president Ikram Nagar would meet Mr Khan for the purpose.

The meeting also formed th central parliamentary board to select suitable candidates. A committee was also formed to discuss electoral adjustments with the PML-Q. —Staff Reporter
