HYDERABAD, July 14: A group of students of the Hyderabad Technical College, belonging to the People’s Students Federation (SPSF), staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday against the conviction of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto by an accountability court.

Speaking at the rally, Ghulam Hussain Jatoi, Sardar Mohammad Urs Solangi and others said the conviction of Ms Bhutto was based on malafide intention as the rulers wanted to keep her out of the political arena.

They said they had faced the atrocities of Gen Ziaul Haq for eleven years and were prepared to face the excesses of Gen Pervez Musharraf.
