KARACHI: Elementary education system being developed


KARACHI, July 14: Sindh chief secretary K. B. Rind has urged the Sindh education department to ensure proper implementation of the Sindh Compulsory Education Ordinance.

He was presiding over a briefing of the education department at his office here on Saturday.

Mr Rind underlined the need to propagate and publicize the Compulsory Primary Education Ordinance-2001 and the literacy enhancement campaign of the province so that the maximum number of people could benefit.

Sindh education secretary, Nazar Hussain Mahar, said the Sindh Bureau of Curriculum was developing a modern training system for elementary education, to be implemented from the next academic session. He said under the system 40 titles pertaining to classes I to V in mathematics, science, social studies and languages had been reviewed and approved.—APP
