Danish and Haris in semis
KARACHI, July 11: Danish Ahmed, Haris Iltifat, Aamir Ali Khan and Yasir advanced to the the semifinals of boys under-14 singles of Karachi Open Junior Tennis Championship after winning their matches at KC courts Thursday.
Top seeded Danish dropped just one game in routing Ali Sadozai. Similarly Aamir Ali notched an easy victory in the quarterfinals.
Haris and Yasir had to fight hard to snatch victories in their matches. Nadeem gave Haris a testing time before going down 4-6, 5-7.
Yasir faced a strong challenge from Anil Das in the second set before registering 6-2, 7-5 win.
In the under-18 singles second round Arsalan recovered after losing the first set to record exciting 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 triumph.
