KARACHI: PIA facility for passengers

KARACHI, July 5: Passengers without baggage on PIA’s domestic flights will have the facility of “City Check-in” from July 9, 2002, and will be issued boarding passes if travelling within 72 hours.

Such passengers will be required to report at the airport departure lounge 30 minutes prior to the scheduled flight and would be saved from the unnecessary hassle of long queues for check-in.

Town offices of eight major domestic cities have been provided this facility.

These include Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan.

The facility is being introduced by Airport Services Department of PIA. In the last one year, the national carrier has introduced a number of facilities.—PPI
