HYDERABAD, July 5: The Al-Khidmat Foundation, Hyder-abad, announced on Thursday that it is launching an anti-hepatitis campaign here on July 6 and 7.

To attain this objective, nine camps will be established at the Millat-e-Islamia Colony, Nishat Market, Hali Road, Koh-i-Noor Chowk, Station Road, Maternity Home Chowk Paretabad, Bhittai Hospital, and Latifabad Unit No7 and 11 at which anti-Hepatitis vaccine will be administered at half the price.

Speaking at a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club on Thursday, the office-bearers of the foundation — Rao Masood Ali, Saleem Khan, Rasheed Qureshi, and Dr Fawad — said that according to the WHO report over 2 billion people were suffering from the fatal disease throughout the world, and added that over 2 million people died due to this disease every year.

They said that keeping in view the high cost of preventive vaccine, the foundation had launched the campaign against this disease, which would be completed in three phases.
