KARACHI, July 5: The president, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party, Sardar Khalid Ibrahim, on Friday said oppressive measures by Indian government to crush the liberation struggle of Kashmiri people will have no impact and the struggle will continue till victory.

Speaking at a press conference here, he vowed that sacrifices by the Kashmiris against the occupying forces would emerge victorious.

He said more than 80,000 innocent Kashmiri men, women and children have sacrificed their lives for the liberation of their motherland.

He said the people of Kashmir did not accept the Line of Control as a permanent border. He claimed that the government of President Pervez Musharraf had changed its Kashmir policy. He stressed that solution of Kashmir issue should be left to the next elected government.

Khalid Ibrahim opposed the constitutional package recently announced by the government.
