By A Correspondent

MULTAN, July 3: Provincial law minister Rana Ijaz visited on Wednesday Jatoi police station’s adjoining residential quarters where some 19 people had been detained.

Dawn learnt that the minister, on indication by people at the police station, visited the residential quarters and found 19 people, some of those handcuffed, in detention.

Meanwhile, some of the detainees fled. Of those, two were said to be murderers.

However, the police have denied their involvement in any crime.
