LONDON, June 28: Pakistan all-rounder Abdur Razzaq was 203 not out, the highest first class score of his career, as Middlesex piled up 633 for seven declared in their second division county championship match against Glamorgan at Cardiff Thursday.
Razzaq, 22, faced 296 balls including two sixes and 19 fours.
Ireland’s Ed Joyce also posted a career-best score (129), the pair putting on 320 as the Glamorgan attack suffered.
At stumps the Welsh county were on course for an innings defeat at 173 for seven.
But these fine innings were overshadowed by yet another mammoth Championship innings from Graeme Hick.
Worcestershire’s captain made 315 not out, the highest score by one of the county’s batsmen at their New Road ground, againt Durham.
That helped Worcestershire to 643 for seven declared after they bowled out Durham for 120.
Zimbabwe-born Hick faced just 386 deliveries including two sixes and 49 fours.
Former England international Hick’s innings was the biggest individual score in English cricket this season, surpassing John Crawley’s 272 for Hampshire against Kent.
