Summer sailing trophy today


KARACHI, June 26: The third series of Summer Sailing Course concluded at National Sailing Centre (NSC) last Saturday, says a news release.

The course was conducted by instructor Mariam Arshad in which besides optimist children, youth sailors, ladies and gents also took part.

Laser 13 and 16 boats were used with the courtesy of Pakistan Navy which are best for training.

Those who qualified for the course included Mehnaz Akram, Tariq Ikram, Yasir aftab, Kashif Butt, M.Amin, Mirza Asim, Abeer Mehar, Kinza Mehar, Ghazal and Taimur Aftab.

Meanwhile the National Sailing Centre is organizing Summer Sailing Trophy Championship for the Silver Fleet children who have qualified recently in the summer sailing camp.

Three races championship will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at National Sailing Centre. All three races will be counted towards the championship.

Following will be participating in this event.

Waleed Tobeh, Kiran Ikram, Sabir Ikram, Waleed Javaid, Hafsa Javaid, Mehdi Shaikh Ali, Ammar Shaikh Ali, Ali Akbar, Mir Ahmed Mansoor, Ujala Mir Masood, Ghazal Mir Masood, Kanzah Mahar, Abeer Mahar, Hisham Mahar.

A personal handicap system is also applicable. Master Waleed Tobeh and Mehdi will start the race one minute after others.—APP
