Bomb hoax at hotel

ISLAMABAD, June 24: Best Western Hotel was evacuated when an anonymous caller told Rescue 15 that he had fixed a bomb in the hotel on Monday.

The police said the bomb disposal experts and police reached the scene and evacuated the building.

After searching the building for more than 35 minutes, the bomb disposal experts found no explosive device. They termed it a hoax call.

Killed: A truck driver was killed while replacing a tyre of the vehicle near Tarnol on Monday, police said.

Munawar Khan, the truck driver was changing the tyre when the jack slipped and the vehicle fell on him. As a result, Munawar died on spot, the police said.
