SHEIKHUPURA, June 24: The district police on Monday claim gunning down two proclaimed offenders in an encounter which was still going on near Chak Hyderabad in Syedwala, some 86 kms from here.

Police said that culprits, whose numbers were still unknown, had taken shelter in Syedwala the boundaries of which linked to Faisalabad and Okara districts. District police chief Shafique Chaudhry was heading the operation against the culprits. Till the filing of this report, two outlaws were reportedly killed in the shootout.

As is now, no further information was received despite making contacts with scores of police officials in district and tehsil levels.
