HYDERABAD: SSC-II results announced

HYDERABAD, June 24: The controller of examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Hyderabad, announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part II (Class X) general group annual examinations 2002 on Monday.

A total of 1,746 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 670 have been declared successful, while the results of 47 have been withheld.

Among boys, Raj Kapoor, son of Phars Ram Vashwami, seat no.153412, of the Government Comprehensive Boys High School, Mirpurkhas, secured first position, while Abdul Hadi, son of Khuda Bux Nizamani, seat no.153049, of the Government High School Ghulam Mustafa Nizamani, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Abdul Jabbar, son of A. Jurio Nohario, seat no.153432, of the Government High School Kaloi via Naukot secured second and third position respectively.

Among girls, Humaira, daughter of M. Asharaf Ansari, seat no.150317, of the Government Girls High School, Hali road, Hyderabad, secured first position, while Aziza Kausar, daughter of Abdul Majeed, seat no.153419, of the Government Girls High School, Digri, and Afsheen Bukhari, daughter of Fayaz Ali Syed, seat no.150217, of the Government Himayatul Islam Girls High School, Hyderabad, secured second and third position respectively.

The controller also announced the results of Higher Secondary Certificate Part I & II (Class XI & XII) Home Economics group annual examinations 2002.

Nazish Latif, daughter of Mohammed Latif Pathan, seat no.50026, stood first, while Naila Nazir, daughter of Nazir Ahmed Khokhar, seat no.50024, and Asma, daughter of Idris Memon, seat no.50003, secured second and third position respectively.

All position holders were the students of Dr I. H. Zuberi College of Home Economics for Girls Hyderabad.

ARRESTED: The Hyderabad district police arrested 12 absconders, two proclaimed offenders, two army deserters, one Patharidar and 18 criminals.
