Ronaldinho available for final

YOKOHAMA, June 23: Brazilian forward Ronaldinho will be suspended for one match only after being shown a red card in his team’s quarterfinal with England.

The decision by FIFA’s disciplinary committee means Ronaldinho would be able to play in the final if Brazil beat Turkey in the semifinal in Saitama on Wednesday.

The player had an agonising wait to see if the Disciplinary Committee would exercise its right to upgrade it to two matches which would have sidelined him for the final.—Reuters/AFP
