MITHI: Peacock hunting

MITHI, June 18: The residents of Nirani Veri village, Nagarparkar taluka, on Monday urged the authorities concerned to take action against a councillor and his henchmen who were hunting peacocks in Parkar.

Talking to newsmen, Devji, Raichand, Vinjhoji, Chetan and others alleged that Ghaman, the councillor of the Viravah Union Council, and his henchmen had killed many peacocks in their village in the last few months but the local wildlife functionaries had not taken any action against the councillor.—Correspondent
