Five Asians die in S. Arabia


RIYADH, June 17: Five Asian workers plunged to their deaths when a 150-metre high scaffolding collapsed at an electric power station under construction in Saudi Arabia, a senior official said on Monday.

Three more labourers were hurt in the accident at Shuwaiba on Sunday, the town’s civil defence chief said. Asharq al-Awsat newspaper said 3 Bangladeshis, one Indian and one Filipino died in the accident.—AFP
