MULTAN, June 17: Armed motorcyclists shot dead three youths near Imambargah Al-Hussaini in New Multan on Monday night.

Two armed masked men riding a motorbike halted near Al-Hussaini Imambargah and sprayed bullets at the youths standing there. As a result all the three identified as Hassan Raza Zaidi, his younger brother Ali Raza Zaidi and their friend Raza Haider received critical bullets wound. Later they succumbed to their wounds at Nishtar Hospital.

Zafar Zaidi, father of Hassan Raza and Ali Raza said: “It is a sectarian killing, as they had no enmity with anyone in the area.”

Tension spread in the area soon after the incident. Heavy police contingents were deployed in the sensitive portion of the city.

Till filing of this report, all exit and entry points were sealed and police parties were collecting information from the people present on the site of the incident.—PPI
