Four of a family die in roof collapse

PESHAWAR, June 17: Four members of a family were killed and two others injured when the roof of a kutcha house caved in amid rain and strong winds on the Sunday night in Kotla Mohsin Khan locality.

Witnesses said that the house was rented by Jehanzeb, an auto mechanic by profession. The roof collapsed at about 3am, killing Jehanzeb, his two sons Sikandar Khan, 7, and Mujahid Khan, 3, and daughter Shaista, 1.

The injured were identified as Shereen, wife of Sikandar, and Shahida, 12, who were admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital.
