Police not registering robbery case

By Our Correspondent

NOWSHERA, June 16: A local trader has complained that the police have refused to register FIR about an armed robbery took place at his residence a week ago.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Aziz Khan, a local trader, said that on the night between June 7 and 8, about a dozen armed men entered his house in Pubbi town, tied all the inmates with ropes, collected Rs110,000 in cash, golden ornaments and valuables and fled.

When he went to Pubbi police station, the official on duty Malik Taj refused to register the FIR, without giving any reason, he alleged.

He appealed to the NWFP governor and provincial police chief Saeed Khan to take stern action against the police official concerned.
