SARGODHA, June 14: The government has allocated a sum of Rs440 million for 432 development projects in the district during the coming fiscal.

This was stated by the district officer (planning) at the district development committee meeting here on Friday. District Coordination Officer Hassan Iqbal chaired the meeting.

Spelling out details, the DO said a sum of Rs250 million under Khushal Pakistan Programme, Rs210 million under Agriculture Development Bank, Rs27 million under Social Action Programme and the balance would be spent under the presidential programme.

The projects included construction of roads, concrete water courses, electrification of rural areas, supply of drinking water, constructions of schools and colleges, provision of health facilities and other welfare projects, he said.

Meanwhile, DCO directed the executing agencies to ensure use of quality material on the construction projects and proper time management.

He expressed his satisfaction over the utilization of 78 per cent funds of ADP and directed the quarters concerned to complete these projects by June 30.
