QUETTA, June 14: Pishin Scouts, a wing of Frontier Corps has seized 300 kg of fine quality hashish on Friday from border area with Afghanistan.
According to Commandant Pishin Scouts, Col Mohammad Sarwar, FC troops raided three places along with Pakistan-Afghan borders on a secrete information.
In the first raid conducted near border village area of Haji Akbar 80kg of hashish was recovered.
However, no arrest could be made in this connection. In another raid FC troops seized 124 kg of hashish following heavy exchange of fire with drug smugglers near Roghani refugees camp.
The smugglers had brought the drug consignment from Afghanistan on the back of three donkeys, which was taken into custody by the FC men. The third consignment 96kg of hashish was recovered from Murda Karez area in border town of Chaman.
Smugglers were also found using trained donkeys for smuggling hashish from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
However, no arrest could be made in all the three raids by the FC.
