TOKYO, June 11: A small typhoon that passed through western Japan lost its strength and dissipated on Tuesday, laying to rest concerns that it could hinder World Cup matches. The typhoon was headed northeast and passing through Nara city in western Japan at 3 p.m. (0600 GMT) when it weakened to a “tropical depression”, a Meteorological Agency official said.—Reuters
