MIRPURKHAS, June 10: The Pegham Union of Wapda, Mirpurkhas division, has strongly protested against the arrest of a line superintendent and registration of a case against the SDO of Hesco, Mithi for disconnecting power supply to the residence of a judge.
An urgent meeting of the union was held here on Monday to discuss the situation arising out of the arrest of LS, Murli Dhar and implicating the SDO, Riaz Pathan, in a case.
The meeting claimed that the two officials had detected the power theft through a direct line drawn for the residence of the judge and therefore the power supply was disconnected.
The Pegham Union alleged that the Mithi police resorted to register a false case and arrested the LS to victimize them.
It urged the president, the chief justice of the Sindh High Court and competent authorities to look into the matter and order an impartial inquiry.
