LONDON, June 3: Brazil’s victory over Turkey has persuaded London bookmakers William Hill to install the four-times champions at 7-2 joint favourites alongside Italy to win the World Cup.
Previous favourites Argentina were trimmed to 100-30 after their opening victory over Nigeria Sunday, but they have now moved back out to 4-1.
Christian Vieri, who scored both goals in Italy’s 2-0 defeat of Ecuador, is the new 4-1 favourite to be the top scorer with Brazilian striker Ronaldo at 9-2 and Miroslav Klose, of Germany, 7-1.
