Three drown

HUB, June 2: At least three persons were killed and one was in serious condition after 11 members of a family from Karachi were swept away by waves at Gadani beach on Saturday.

Members of the family from Malir, on a picnic trip, were taking bath in the sea when 11 of them were swept away by the waves.

The local people and other picnickers rescued 10 of them but one drowned. Later, two others died on their way to the hospital.

The dead were: Mohammed Arshad, 16; Jamshed, 14; and Robina, 26.—Correspondent
