Carjacker killed in encounter

KARACHI, June 1: An alleged carjacker was killed late on Saturday night in Korangi Industrial Area in what police claimed an encounter.

According to area police, the carjacker, with his accomplices, was on the run after depriving Muhammad Alam of his pick-up (KC-0693) at gun point when a police patrol caught sight of him.

One carjacker, wounded in the shootout with the police, was arrested and named as Sultan Khan. He was brought to the police station, where he died. A cellular phone and a TT pistol were seized from his possession.

SUICIDE: A 21-year-old man, Dansih Aqeel, committed suicide in his Surjani Town flat on Saturday night.
