Yemen calls for restraint

ISLAMABAD, May 30: The ministry of foreign affairs of Yemen has called upon India and Pakistan to exercise maximum restraint to avert the imminent war.

In a statement, issued here on Thursday, a spokesman for the ministry expressed concern over the rising tensions between the two countries.

He said Yemen had been following the dangerous situation that had threatened the stability and peace of the region.

The government of Yemen appealed to the leadership of the neighbouring countries to exercise maximum restraint and de-escalate the tension, he said.—APP
