Prince Of Peace storms to victory
LAHORE, May 29: The five-year-old chestnut horse Prince Of Peace, stormed home to surge ahead of the field and win narrowly the feature event of the mid-week Lahore Gymkhana races at the rain-soaked Racecourse on Wednesday.
Both the chestnut geldings Pistol Pete and Burrat Again led the field in this sixth and last race of the afternoon with Prince Of Peace close on their heels following behind.
As the field entered into the straight, riding boy M. Zeeshan urged his mount Prince Of Peace, who responded splendidly and won the event by a short-head from Pistol Pete after battling neck and neck in the last 100 metres of the race.
