LAHORE, May 27: The PPP said on Monday that its position with respect to holding a meeting with President Pervez Musharraf remained unchanged.

While talking to Dawn, party’s senior vice-chairman Makhdoom Amin Faheem said the invitation should be extended to Ms Benazir Bhutto and ARD president Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.

He said the party would further explain its point of view once any minister met the PPP leadership.

The Makhdoom was responding to Gen Musharraf’s fresh invitation, through his address to the nation, to leaders of those parties who had refused to meet him in the first round.
