SHO, 4 cops suspended

SUKKUR, May 25: An SHO and four other policemen were placed under suspension on Saturday following a scuffle over road accident involving a vehicle belonging to another law enforcing agency.

It has been gathered that the accident took place near Toll Plaza, Jacobabad, in which the vehicle was slightly damaged. Occupants of the vehicle, including Lance Naik, Mohammed Arshad, and a police party were engaged in altercation which led to a scuffle.

Mr Arshad allegedly snatched the official arms of some policemen and beat them up before the matter was brought into the knowledge of the DPO of Jacobabad.

The DPO suspended the SHO of Mithyani, Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi; an ASI, Riaz Mohammed Mazari; head-constables, Mohammed Yaqoob and Maula Bukhsh Bugti and a constable, Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro.
