Growers slam unfair distribution of water

MIRPURKHAS, May 24: Growers of Samaro sub-division have appealed the authorities concerned to take steps to stop discriminatory water distribution by XEN, Mithrao.

Talking to newsmen at the local press club here on Friday, Anwar Mughal and other growers alleged that Nabisar Branch was exempted from water rotation programme while other waterways of the area fell under the programme.

They said that 100 per cent land was cultivated by grower of Nabisar Branch while other areas were not getting water to cultivate even 20 per cent land.

PROBE: Taluka Nazim of Mirpurkhas, Syed Inayat Ali Shah, has ordered an inquiry into the issuance of fake allotment order of a plot.

Taluka municipal officer, Mirpurkhas, Barkatullah Rizvi, and Nazim UC-4, Mirpurkhas, Abdul Salam Baig, are appointed inquiry team and asked to report the Nazim in a week.

Dilawar Mangrio, town officer of Mirwah, reportedly issued a fake allotment order of a plot on the basis of an application with the recommendation of necessary action by the taluka Nazim.
