Outlaws have a field day

FAISALABAD, May 22: Outlaws looted hundreds of thousands of rupees in cash, ornaments and took away five motorcycles, a wagon and a car after killing its owner besides injuring two shopkeepers in 10 strikes during the last 24 hours.

Two masked bandits entered a general store in Nawabanwala in the limits of Factory Area police station and started looting cash and other valuables. Tahir Ikram Shah, an area resident, when saw the bandits looting the store tried to resist. Upon this, the bandits opened fire on Tahir, killing him on the spot and fled on a two-wheeler.

On the Shadman Road, four masked bandits came to a shop and shot at owner, Liaquat Ali, when he raised an alarm. He was shifted to hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

Muhammad Naeem, another shopkeeper of the Sargodha Road, sustained serious injuries when bandits fired at him after snatching Rs120,000 in cash and other articles.

Armed highwaymen intercepted a wagon (FDY-2179) of Ibrahim Textile Mills on the Canal Road and kidnapped driver Muhammad Ramzan and an engineer, Osama. Later, the bandits pushed them out of the vehicle and drove away with it.

Four masked dacoits in uniform barged into the house of Abdul Shakoor on the Faisalabad-Jaranwala Road, collected cash, ornaments and other valuables and fled.

Unidentified armed outlaws deprived patients and doctor Abdul Hameed of thousands of rupees after taking them as hostage in a clinic at Saeed Colony. Bandits also took away doctor’s motorcycle (FDY-7264).

A boy, Naveed, was relieved of his two-wheeler at gunpoint by two highway robbers at Chak 197-RB.

Three robbers snatched a two-wheeler (JGB-987) and thousands of rupees in cash from Tajammul Hussain at pistol point at Chak 227-RB.

Thieves took away two motorcycles of Irfan Ahmed of Ghulam Muhammad and Zeeshan Ahmed of Liaquat Town.

SHOT AT, INJURED: Unidentified armed men on Wednesday shot at a local transporter when he was standing on a bus stop near Chak 203-RB.

Zafar Iqbal was standing along with his friend Muhammad Aslam when he was attacked. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. The attackers fled from the scene.
