ISLAMABAD, May 21: Three more people were killed and 21 others wounded as the Indian army continued heavy shelling from across the Line of Control and the Working Boundary on Tuesday, ISPR said.

Two civilians were reported killed and 16 wounded in villages near the Line of Control. The third villager died along the Working Boundary where five others suffered injuries, Inter-Service Public Relations said.

“Indian army resorted to shelling and firing in sub-sectors Shahkot, Batal, Satwal and other areas close to the Line of Control,” it added.

Indian army also continued targeting villages along the Working Boundary in Marala, Miraj Key and Shakargarh sub-sectors and used automatic weapons, recoilless rifles, mortars and rocket launchers, causing destruction of property.

The Pakistan army retaliated and targeted the Indian gun positions and bunkers, causing considerable damage, it said. The exchange of fire between the two armies started on Friday.
