PIA starts commercial flights to Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD, May 21: Pakistan on Tuesday sent its first commercial flight into Afghanistan in more than 23 years, official media reported.

A Boeing 737 belonging to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) took an official delegation headed by Labour Minister Awais Ghani to Kabul.

Under an agreement reached between Pakistan and Afghanistan earlier this month, their state airlines will run weekly flights between the two capitals.
