By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, May 21: The Zila Naib Nazim, Nazir Ahmed Bughio ordered an inquiry into the death of a patient, Rustam Gadhi, of Badah town as the villagers alleged that the medical officer concerned neither provided an ambulance nor treatment in time.

The villagers were protesting outside the district council hall while the council was in session. They chanted slogans against the medical officer, Dr Inayatullah Kandhiro.

They told the Zila Naib Nazim and Nazim of the union council Badah Athar Abbas Solangi after the session was over that they repeatedly contacted the doctor for providing an ambulance to shift a patient who was suffering from abdominal pain for emergency treatment, but he turned down the request, which led to the death of the patient.
