KARACHI: Motorcyclists urged to follow rules


KARACHI, May 19: Dalpat Sonavaria, assistant general-secretary, Pakistan Senior Citizens’ Association, has advised motorcyclists, particularly the youth, to adhere to traffic rules for protecting their lives as well as that of others.

In a statement on Sunday, Sonarvia taking exception to the reckless driving attitude of motorcyclists, motorists and others said the situation had emerged to be the main cause of fatal accidents.

He particularly advised motorcyclists to see that they must drive on the extreme left side of the road to help smooth driving for all.

He appealed to the traffic police to initiate an awareness programme for uneducated drivers to create road sense among them and also help them understand traffic rules.

He suggested that the city government could seek the services of senior citizens to streamline traffic system.—APP
