Lasbela gets Rs10m for schools

HUB, May 18: Lasbela district has received Rs10 million for providing drinking water, electricity and other basic facilities to 135 schools.

The amount was awarded by the federal government under Elementary Schemes for Rehabilitation and President’s Program, sources said.

Lasbela Nazim Jam Kamal Khan, during his visit to Hub, confirmed that the district government had received the amount and said it would be spent on specific schools.

The grant would be spent for the provision of drinking water and electricity, construction of rooms and repair work.

The district would get Rs15 million for the purpose during the coming fiscal year under the same projects and about 200 schools would be covered.
