KHAIRPUR, May 18: A resident of Nohani village, Kingri taluka, was killed by eight bandits on Friday night.

The bandits entered the house of Haji Shahan, son of Kalo Khan, and kidnapped him after resorting to aerial firing.

After travelling some three or four kilometres in kutcha area, the bandits killed him and left the body there.

The accused had suspected that the deceased was a police informer.

In another incident, three armed men gunned down Allah Wasayo Korai, 40, on Saturday morning in the limits of Tando Masti police station.

The cause of the murder is said to be an old enmity.

THREE DIE: Two persons were drowned while another was electrocuted on Saturday in separate incidents.

In Sanwan Abro village, Kingri taluka, three-year-old Kanwal Abro, slipped into a water pool while playing.

Naseem Ahmed Memon drowned in Faiz Wah, near Ubal Wah, when he was taking a bath.

His body had not been traced out till filing of this report. Four-year-old Sumera was electrocuted when she was paying in her house in Mangarji village and touched an electric switch.

HESCO: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company chief executive Brig Tariq Arshad suspended a senior meter reader of Pir Jo Goth sub-division for tampering with meters. He also asked SDO, Setharja, either to apply for retirement or improve his performance in one month.
