ISLAMABAD, May 18: The Central Board of Revenue has decided to appoint a committee shortly to review the currently pending departmental appeals.
Senior Income Tax officials told Dawn that there was a general perception that huge number of departmental appeals before Appellate Tribunals as well as Commissioner Income Tax (Appeals) have been filed without merit and on frivolous grounds.—Our Reporter
