NAIROBI, May 17: Kenya’s minister for sport Francis Nyenze said on Friday he had disbanded the national soccer and cricket bodies and frozen their bank accounts following incessant in-fighting.
“Based on the advice of the Kenya National Sports Council, of which I am head, I have today decided to dissolve the national executive committees of the Kenya Football Federation and Kenya Cricket Association,” the minister said.
“I am also ordering a freeze of all their respective bank accounts with immediate effect.”—Reuters
