SUKKUR, May 17: The strike of the city sanitary workers entered the fourth consecutive day on Friday.

The strike has turned the entire city into a garbage dump and there is a possibility that diseases may spread across the city.

More than 100 other municipal employees also observed a pen-down strike.

Negotiation between the workers union and the taluka authorities, which had been going on for the last two days, has failed and the workers have decided to continue strike.

Meanwhile, the sanitary workers staged a protest against Sukkur taluka Nazim.
