KARACHI: Seven cars, nine bikes hijacked

KARACHI, May 13: Sixteen vehicles — seven cars and nine motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Monday, the police said.

Four cars were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Six motorcycles were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

The police also claimed on Monday to have recovered two cars and three motorcycles in the city.

ROBBERY: One robbery was committed in the city on Monday, the police said.

Bandits raided the Shadman post office and robbed staff and others of cash at gunpoint. Bandits dashed into the post office during lunchtime.

DROWNED: The body of an unidentified young man was fished out from the sea at West Wharf on Monday.

The police said that the dead man was in his mid-30s.

The body has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.
